India QSR Consumer Sales Channel Split & Per Capita Spend Dataset
FY 2020–21 marked a complete inversion of the QSR channel mix — dine-in share collapsed from 55% to just 20% while delivery spiked from 31% to 65%, as pandemic restrictions shut down in-store dining overnight. The recovery since has been gradual and partial rather than a full reversion: by FY 2025–26, dine-in has clawed back to 46% and delivery has settled at 37%, still a meaningfully more delivery-weighted mix than the pre-COVID 55/31 split, while takeaway/drive-thru has permanently gained share (13% to 17%). Per capita QSR spending has continued to climb through this shift, nearly quadrupling from ₹790/year to ₹3,100/year, suggesting the channel disruption reshaped how consumers order without denting overall category demand.
